A month to remember!

This summer, Haden and I knew it was going to be our last with a month of freedom... so we decide to live like gypsies, traveling and doing lots of fun things.

We started off with a trip to Ruidoso with Haden's family. It's always so great to see them and I love hanging out with little Harper! We love going there and gambling, shopping, and just spending time with great family and celebrating Haden's birthday and the fourth of July.

Next, we went on to Childress to visit Haden's grandparents... then it was time for the John Mayer concert in Dallas that Haden got me tickets to for my birthday (what a sweetie). We had such a good time, and John Mayer was AMAZING!

Then it was off to Florida for us! Since I grew up in Florida it was really cool for me to be able to show Haden my hometown... and off course we had to make a stop at Disney World. I love being able to spend time with some of my best friends that I so rarely get to see!

After coming back from Florida, we were off to Port Aransas to meet my family for a beach trip! While we were there we visited the Selena museum, the beach, went fishing, and had a great time. I absolutely love spending time with my family and getting to vacation with them.

Between these awesome trips, we spent time in San Angelo at the Houser House where we were constantly entertained by Harper. We then finished off the month in Lamesa with Haden's parents before heading off to Houston. It was such an amazing trip and we were so blessed to be able to do it!

Haden's 24th

So this year, Haden had about a 2 week birthday celebration. First, we went to Lamesa on Wednesday for his birthday on Thursday.

Thursday morning Haden got up to open his gift first thing. Ok he is in his Hugh Hepher robe. Every time we go to Lamesa he wears this like you can see in the pictures. I really have no idea why?!?

He got Schlitterbahn tickets, Teresa got him a lot of nice clothes, and Jimbob got him a golftech lesson. I'm not sure what he was most excited about!

Then, we went to Hobbs for some gambling, since it's only an hour away. He actually came out on top, and everyone else lost. He finished off his day with a golf scramble with Jimbob

The next weekend the celebration continued with a trip to San Antonio. We stayed at this awesome bed and breakfast, and went to the river walk!

And the next day we went to Schlitterbahn. I had never been so it was interesting! As you can see, it was insanely packed. I couldn't believe they even let that many people in! Crazy!

Anyway, we had a great time. Haden thinks this birthday was better than last year (when I was in Connecticut for 2 months he came to see me half way through, on his birthday he had to fly back. It was pretty sad). Happy Birthday Hadey, me and Toby love you!!

21st Birthday!!

On May 10th I finally turned 21!! Haden and I decided to go out with my friends to dinner then to the bar to buy my very own drinks. We had a really great time. First, we did dinner at Chilli's

Also, pictured across from me, is my friend Ashley. She turned 21 on the exact same day as me!

We really had such a great time, I honestly had no idea what there was in downtown San Angelo! My friends were awesome and so fun. Anyway, the next day Haden and I drove to Lamesa to meet Teresa and head to Ruidoso for the weekend. The only pictures I managed to get were a view of the room!

So I played Black Jack, Slots, and even played Craps. We had a really great time. I had never been up there but it was beautiful. Thanks to Haden and Teresa for such a fun weekend! And since then, Haden is always talking about how he just wants to go back. Haha!

Honeymoon in Mexico!

Anyone who knows Haden and I knows that we moved a little quick with our relationship. I know we shocked our families when we got engaged after less than 7 months of dating... and then again when we insisted on getting married only 5 months after! In fact, We got married less than 1 year after our first date!

So, it was the middle of the semester when we got married (and I was taking Quantum mechanics, Solid State physics, and Thermodynamics). The semester was way too intense for us to go anywhere so we decided to wait until spring break 2012 to go on our real honeymoon.

And we decided to go to Mexico!

We flew into Cancun but stayed at White Sands Palladium about 45 miles south of Cancun. Here is the resort we stayed at:

And here are just a few fun shots of us!

And yes, in the last picture Haden is lounging on the beach with a shirt on... BECAUSE he burnt so so so bad the very first hour we were on the beach and was burnt the whole trip!

Here are some highlights:

Best moment: couples massage!!! So relaxing... Oh or the beach!

Scariest moment: Being woken up in the middle of the night by some creatures stomping around on the roof!

Funniest moment: I wanted a coconut so I picked one up and took it back to our "bungalo" thing. But we didn't have anything to open it with, sooo Haden took it outside and started banging it on a tree! I was peeking out the door and I saw this huge raccoon creeping up and I tried to warn him. Anyway, the raccoon got within about 5 feet of him before he noticed. When he saw him, Haden panicked, threw the coconut at him (and getting it no where near him), and then took off running like he had seen a bear!! Hahahaha!!

Haden's favorite part: The all inclusive food and drinks! (Especially the steak dinners!)

So that's a summary of our honeymoon!
